Born For This
July 2013
"For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous."
Romans 5:17-19 NLT
"There's a time to hold your tongue, time to keep your head down.
There's a time but it's NOT NOW. Sometimes you gotta go, uninvited.
Sometimes you gotta speak when you don't have the floor.
Sometimes you gotta move, when everybody else says you should stay.
No way, no, not today! You gotta ask, if you want an answer.
Sometimes you gotta stand apart from the crowd. Long before your heart could run the risk. You were born for this. You were born for this!!!!!!!"

Are you saved? Do you know Christ? Are you born again? If so……..YOU were born for this! Friend, YOU have been born of an incorruptible seed, a supernatural seed----the Word of God. You are a King's kid. You are royalty. Romans 5:17 says "For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ." When you gave your life over to Christ you no longer had the option of just identifying with your natural family, your past, your failures, or anything else. You are now identified with Christ. Yes, you were born a sinner because of Adam, but once you got born again your identity changed. You are no longer a sinner! Yes, you make mistakes…..but you do not have to identify with the mistakes you've made, nor do you have to identify with being a sinner. When you asked Christ to be your Savior, your identity changed from being a sinner to being the righteousness of God. Romans 5:19 says, "Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous." When Christ died on the cross, he took in the sin, the curse, the shame and the death. He absorbed all that into Himself and died with it. In His resurrection, God deposited everything in Christ that He wanted in man. God put in Christ what He wanted in you. In Christ, you have a whole new identity that changes you, your thinking. your direction, and everything about you. Precious as it is to proclaim, "Christ died for the world." Even sweeter it is to whisper, "Christ died for me." Friend, how sweet it is to proclaim that Christ died for us. He did this so that the moment you receive Jesus Christ by faith, His death becomes your death; His burial becomes your burial; His resurrection becomes your resurrection; His righteousness is your righteousness; His ascension is your ascension; His victory is your victory; His seating is your seating; His life is your life; And His blessing is your blessing. Everything that God put in Him now comes into You. This changes your identity. No longer can you identify with defeat because you are identified with the triumph of Christ. No longer can you identity with failure, sickness, and bondage because you are identified with Christ. This is why Paul said, "I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth, in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me" (Galatians 2:20). In other words, "little 'I' moved out, and big Christ moved in. Weak 'I' moved out, and strong Christ moved in. Defeated 'I' moved out, and victorious Christ moved in. Sick 'I' moved out, and healed Christ moved in. Poor 'I' moved out, and rich Christ moved in. Cursed 'I' moved out, and blessed Christ moved in. I, in my little capacity and selfishness, moved out, and big Christ moved in" (Pastor Mark Hankins). This is your identification with Christ. Now you can declare boldly, "I identify with Christ, not the devil or anything that is related to him. I died with Christ. I was buried with Christ. I was raised with Christ. I identify with His triumph and His blessing. I declare by faith that I am standing on the Word and I will have every promise that it says I can have!" Friend, when God raised Christ from the dead, He quickened you with Him so you now have an identical life, identical righteousness, identical victory, identical blessing, and an identical inheritance. As a matter of fact, you are one with Christ. You are joined to Him! Once you get on the inside who you really are, how could you ever identify with defeat again? How could you ever let the lies of Satan discourage you…when you know that you are identified with Christ? You have the bloodline of a champion. You are royalty. Victory runs in your family; it is in your genes. YOU my friend were born for this. Whatever it is that God has called you to do, use the Word of God as your filter and see yourself the way that God sees you….and then go forth! This is not the time to hold your tongue, or to keep your head down. You are a child of the King! Go, even if you are uninvited. Speak, even if you don't have the floor. Move, even if everybody else says you should stay. Ask, if you want the answer. Stand apart from the crowd…..YOU were born for this!
And if you are reading this and are not born again., know that God loves you! He loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son for you. The Bible tells us that, "…….whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16 NKJV). Jesus laid down His life and rose again so that we could spend eternity with Him in heaven and experience His absolute best on earth. If you would like to receive Jesus into your life, say the following prayer out loud and mean it from your heart.
"Heavenly Father, I come to You admitting that I am a sinner. Right now, I choose to turn away from sin, and I ask you to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died on the cross to take away my sins. I also believe that He rose again from the dead so that I might be forgiven of my sins and made righteous through faith in Him. I call upon the Name of Jesus Christ to be the Savior and Lord of my life. Jesus, I choose to follow You and ask that You fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. I declare right now that I am a child of God. I am free from sin and full of the righteousness of God. I am saved in Jesus' name."
Amen
