Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. (John 5:19 NIV) Jesus knew what you and I must learn: not every good thing is a God thing, and nothing is worth doing if it's not what God wants us to do. What astounds me about Jesus' life on earth is that He not only did the Father's will; He did the Father's will....and nothing else! We should do the same!
"So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and FAITHFUL to His word.” Hebrews 10:23 (Amplified) "This is my anthem, this is my song. The theme of the stories I’ve heard for so long God has been faithful, He will be again. His loving compassion, it knows no end! All I have need of, His hand will provide. He’s always been faithful, He’s always been faithful
He’s always been faithful to me!" Comparison will be the number one thing that will keep you from doing what it is God is calling you to do. He has called you, given you a gift, and an desire in your heart like no one else's and only you can do that which He has called you to do!!! Be encouraged!
"....and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor." (Isaiah 61:3 NIV) |
