"You faithfully ANSWER our prayers with AWESOME deeds. You crown the year with a BOUNTIFUL HARVEST." Psalms 65:5,11 NLT
Hello friends!!! I am so excited about JESUS! I'm excited about what He has done, is doing, and will do in 2015. Towards the end of 2014, I began to pray about what it was that God was saying to the body of Christ concerning 2015. One of the things He told me was that 2015 would be the year of GREAT HARVEST. For everything you have sown as unto the Lord, whether it has been prayers, faith, faithfulness, obedience, tears, love, encouragement, support, etc., God says that this will be the year of great harvest for you. This harvest is filled with LASTING FRUIT and is drenched with peace, love, and joy. God is getting ready to blow your mind. Those things that He has promised you, not only will He fulfill them, but He will do so 1000 times greater. Yes, He will do above and beyond what you can ask or think! This will be the year that God breathes life into seemingly dead things, replaces barrenness with much fruit, and makes what seemed utterly impossible, possible! Sweatless victory and RESTORATION in EVERY area of your life shall be yours. This is the year of great harvest! I'm in expectation friend! I believe God!
Now for those of you who don't know, one of the theme scriptures for NYCU is 1 Chronicles 16:11; it says "Seek the Lord and His strength. Seek His face continually." As this scripture simply states, we are to seek God continually, not just on Sundays, or every now and then, but constantly, every day, without interruption. We seek His face continually by putting Him first, spending time with Him in His Word and spending time in prayer. I say all of this because the Lord has impressed upon my heart for February to be the month of prayer, or a call to prayer if you would. He led me to Psalms 27:8 which says, "When you said, "Seek my face," my heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek." I LOVE the NLT version, it says, "My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "Lord, I am coming." Listen friend, I believe that God is calling all of us to come and talk with Him. It's not enough for us to quote 1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing," or to say how powerful prayer is, if we’re not actually dedicating time to pray. If we are serious about our relationship with God, we have to find serious time to pray. So every morning at 7am, let’s make a commitment to God to get in the secret place and talk with Him. The goal of this call is to not only talk to God (thanking Him for not only His grace, mercy, and love, but also for who He is in our lives, casting our cares on Him, praying for others, asking Him for guidance, or asking Him in faith for something....I believe a lot of us do this already), but to also say, “God, what is it that you want to say to me today,” and then sit quietly in His presence and listen. Friend, prayer is not a monologue, it's a dialogue. God not only wants to hear from you, but He wants to speak to you as well. He wants to pour into you, encourage you, correct and help you grow in some areas, lead you, remind you of who you are and what your purpose is, and develop intimacy with YOU! Yes, the King of Kings wants to have an intimate relationship with you (Prayer is the most essential way to cultivate intimacy). So STILL stay in the Word, but give yourself fully each morning before you do anything else to the inner room of prayer. If you wake up earlier than 7am, pray when you wake up. Don’t worry about how long you should pray, just pray and then listen. I believe God has some awesome things that He wants to do in, for, and through us, but I also believe that He has some awesome things that He wants to share with us. Let’s let Him! Let’s pray, but then get quiet and listen. HE WILL SPEAK!!!! Also, if there is anything that God has led you to do, let February be the month you do it. Two words: Radical Obedience. If He told you to write a book, start writing. If He told you to fill out an application, fill it out. If He told you to lay something down, even if it’s not necessarily a “bad thing,” do it! Trust that blessings lie on the other side of your obedience. I pray that you join me in February! If you have any questions, email me at email@example.com and if you have a prayer request, feel free to submit it! I love you all and I am praying for you too! Let's seek God's face like never before. We can't lose when we EARNESTLY seek HIM!
